America ROCKS!!!

I painted more rocks.  This time I painted a ROCK band!  I still need to SEAL the deal (put sealant on them) and have them SPLIT UP by hiding them in different locations and sent out hints on the "NameOfOurTown Rocks!" Facebook group page!

ROCK ON!

America Rocks!

Towns all over the USA have started Facebook Groups with their city or town name and added the word "Rocks" after it.

WHY???

Remember how popular Pokemon Go was for those two weeks?  The "Our Town" Rocks can go on and on.

HOW DOES IT WORK???
Someone starts a Facebook group with your town/city name with the word "ROCKS" behind it.  Folks find/get rocks, paint them, put them out in public places.  You can post photos of the rocks on that FB group and hints where you put the rocks.  THEN, the people who find the painted rock can keep the rock or re-hide it, post photos of their VERY HAPPY children or grandchildren or teens or couples or elderly who have found the rocks....  and you have folks who want to paint and you have folks who want to find and it's ALL HAPPY!!!!

Here are a few I'm painting for the fun of it:

My grandma crocheted little delicate teacups to use as nut cups at my Dad & Mom's wedding.  I've had one siting on my desk for several years, wishing that I could make one as well.

I taught myself how to crochet about a year and a half ago.  Since learning the basics, I've been in search for a YouTube video or a pattern to use to try to make a crocheted teacup.

The pattern finally showed up yesterday!  It's not exactly the one my Grandma used (it called for the use of a glue gun to hook the handle, cup and saucer together - grandma did NOT use a glue gun on hers!).  But with some tweaks of my own, I figured out how to make it as one piece.

Here is a photo of the crocheted teacup that I made, next to the one that my grandma made.  What do you think?
